Maze Nails and Fehr Bros. share a deep-rooted commitment to innovation in building materials. Maze Nails began in 1848 when Samuel Nesbitt Maze, an Irish immigrant, established a lumberyard in Peru, Illinois.

Over time, the Maze family recognized the need for high-quality nails for cedar shingle roofs, leading to the creation of Maze Nails. With a focus on quality and innovation, Maze Nails developed the industry-leading STORMGUARD® double-dipped nails, known for their durability and rust resistance. This commitment to excellence positioned Maze Nails as a trusted supplier in the building industry for over a century.

Fehr Bros. shares this entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to quality. Beginning as Henry Fehr Trading Co. in 1857, then Frank Fehr & Co. in 1924, Basil and Keith Fehr, the brothers, expanded their family’s London-based business to the USA in 1949, supplying the hardware to support the post-war rebuilding efforts.

Much like Maze Nails, Fehr Bros. has remained family-owned, with a focus on delivering high-quality products and outstanding customer service. Both companies have adapted to changing market demands while staying true to their founding principals.

Together, Maze Nails and Fehr Bros. exemplify a tradition of family-driven innovation and commitment to quality, serving our customers with reliable products that have stood the test of time.
