1 / 4 Cold Shuts Zinc Plated

Cold Shut Links are used to link to or repair steel chains. After sliding the cold shut link between two other links, or an attachment, use a hammer to pound the end of the cold shut through the eye. To seal the link, you must peen the extended end of the cold shut, which prevents the link from opening. Always use one size larger cold shut link than chain size. Ex: for 1/4" chain use a 5/16 cold shut.
