Bright Steel Core Wire Rope - 1/4 in X 6x19
The 6x19 class wire rope is known for flexibility as well as durability against abrasion. Independent wire rope core (IWRC) ropes have superior strength and crush resistance over fiber core wire ropes, but offer less flexibility. 6x19 Class wire rope is the most widely used for applications which demand a robust and abrasion resistant wire rope such a winch lines, slings, suspension cables, boom pendants, drill lines and chokers.

Additional Specifications
6×19 (often referred to as 6×25) rope has six strands with 16 to 26 wires per strand. Wire ropes with a greater number of individual wires (6×37) provide more flexibility and fatigue resistance while ropes with fewer wires (6×19) provide greater abrasion resistance, less flexibility, and more “stiffness”.
Safety Notice
- Inspect regularly for visible damage, distortion, elongation, corrosion, cracks, nicksor abrasion, which may cause failure or reduce the strength of the Wire Rope
- Wire Rope and Steel Cable must be stored, used, lubricated and maintained in accordance with the normal safety standards
- Verify that replacement Wire Ropes are correct for your application and meet your specifications
- Avoid shock loads. Do not load Wire Rope to the breaking strength limits. End user must determine an appropriate safety factor for the application
