The 6X19 class wire rope is known for flexibility as well as durability against abrasion. Independent wire rope core(IWRC) ropes have superior strength and crush resistance over fiber core wire ropes, but offer less flexibility. 6x19 Class wire rope is the most widely used for applications which demand a robust and abrasion resistantwire rope such a winch lines, slings, suspension cables, boom pendants, drill lines and chokers.

6X19 (often referred to as 6X25) rope has six strands with 16 to 26 wires per strand. Wire ropes with a greater number of individual wires (6X37) provide more flexibility and fatigue resistance while ropes withfewer wires (6X19) provide greater abrasion resistance, less flexibility, andmore "stiffness".

Inspect regularly for visible damage, distortion, elongation, corrosion, cracks, nicks or abrasion, which may cause failure or reduce the strength of the Wire Rope.

Wire Rope and Steel Cable must be stored, used, lubricated and maintained in accordance with the normal safety standards.

Verify that replacement Wire Ropes are correct for your application and meet your specifications.

Avoid shock loads. Do not load Wire Rope to the breaking strength limits. End user must determine an appropriate safety factor for the application.
